Moony People

WHO ARE THE MOONY S   Those are small drawn creatures that express a specific state of mind / mood . The size of each drawing is like a postcard (framed). I happen to be one of these humans that are said to be very influenced by the Moon- and one day when I was drawing it suddenly occurred to me that I might be more of a Moony than a Moody person – and so the Moony´s were born and I had happily become ”the Mum” of these colourful small beings mostly in black and white. At this moment the world knows 120 kind of Moony´s but they are constantly growing in numbers...settling down and making new families. I hope that you recognize something in them –or just get in a good Moony mood! These Moony types will live on forever and multiply – each Moony is a unique piece of handmade art, made with ballpen on paper – the fun is to give them different shapes and surroundings. (or let them look like somebody ... shh please dont tell them this, they dont know u see !) That’s why I make them in assignments as well, (birthday, valentine, weddingday, etc) a small and personal gift. Oh yes...the Moony s really wants to move out–its getting more and more crowded obviously which means that they are very grateful when they may leave the nest, but are very happy if they can stay warm and cosy together – that’s why they get cheaper the more you want to put under one roof. WIE ZIJN DE MOONY S Moony s zijn kleine getekende figuren die een bepaald gevoel uitdrukken in hun houding en doen en laten. Ze zijn allemaal beïnvloed door de maan -zo genoemde maanmensen - en - ja hoor net als hun moeder.. niet zo zeer moody, dacht ze maar meer Moony - en zo ontstonden de Moony s -een grote kleurrijke familie voornamelijk in zwart en wit! Er bestaan op dit moment 120 verschillende, maar ze groeien voortdurend en - heel koppig - het liefst elke kant uit. Wanneer ze uit huis gaan gebeurt dit in een wissellijstje van aansichtkaartformaat. En ze willen graag eruit vliegen, geloof mij, want ze raken natuurlijk steeds krapper behuisd met zijn allen. Daardoor worden ze gewoon vrolijk goedkoper des te meer men er tegelijk een dak boven het hoofd wil geven... dat vinden ze ook erg gezellig natuurlijk, zo in de buurt blijven van elkaar - de stuksprijs wordt dus in een woongemeenschap veel goedkoper dan in een trio of bij een stelletje. Iedere Moony is uniek en met de hand gemaakt. Ze blijven wel zussen en broers van elkaar. Het zou niet leuk zijn als ze hetzelfde waren, en het leuke is dat ik ook nooit zelf raak uitgekeken op mijn kroost. Vaak herkennen mensen iets in ze, want er zijn Moony s voor haast elk gevoel, van ingetogen tot hilarisch en van ondeugend tot heel verlegen. En sommigen zijn stiekem uitermate geschikt voor een speciale gelegenheid, zoals geboorte/verjaardag/huwelijk/met pensioen/Valentijn enz. Het is dan ook mogelijk om ze enigszins aan te passen qua gelijkenis op iemand (maar s.v.p. laat hun het niet horen - ssshh - ze weten het niet.)
